POSITION 

Veneziano & Lighthall Attorneys at Law LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney. The Associate Attorney will be a full-time, a hybrid position with the office in Erlanger, Kentucky. Veneziano & Lighthall Attorneys At Law LLC partners with lenders across the country to help them recover collateral when internal recovery efforts are no longer effective. The firm focuses on building long-term business relationships, offering strategic legal support throughout the replevin and impound recovery process. Led by Managing Member Frank Veneziano, the team brings over six years of experience collaborating with lenders to design workout opportunities and drive strong results. Although the firm is relatively new, it maintains a data-driven approach, tracking and reporting return on investment for every portfolio placed. This commitment to performance and transparency creates a results-oriented environment for legal professionals.

JOB DUTIES 
  • Draft and review legal documents 
  • Handle replevin and impound recovery matters
  • Provide clear legal analysis and advise lender clients
  • Conduct legal research, prepare case strategies, negotiation resolutions, and represent clients' interest in court and communications with borrowers or other stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and staff to improve workflows
  • Support portfolio performance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain consistent documentation, accurate reporting, and strong communication with clients regarding case status and outcomes
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 
  • 2-4 years of experience, including familiarity with lender-focused, creditor rights practices and civil litigation.
  • Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to business clients, focused on risk mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Proficient Research skills, including case law, statutes, regulations, and procedural rules relevant to collateral recovery.
  • Effective Negotiation skills for workouts, settlements, and resolutions with borrowers and other parties.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana (or eligibility for admission).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail in drafting pleadings, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, maintain organized files, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, client service, and collaborative teamwork with attorneys and support staff.
  • Prior experience in creditor’s rights, collections, or lender-side representation is preferred but not required.

COMPENSATION 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we can share that the pay range for this position is $70,000-$85,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
